This is a project for a major Bank and shines a light on a Coach's influence; both on and beyond the pitch.
In the film we see a grassroots football coach delivering a half-time script to her team but we see how her words travel far beyond the pitch and deep into the lives of those she and coaches like her have helped.
Everything here needs to feel authentic – lived in as if we found these people in a real moment of time...a sense of grit, a sense of something alive in the evening air and within that the people we put on screen are at the heart of this film.
We're looking for people who have a bit of attitude and light in them; each of them immediately relatable.

Charlotte - Young Chef - age 22-29
She's working in a very busy and bustling but small restaurant kitchen. It is at full pace.
After 6 months of being KP (entry level chef) she’s finally working with the main chefs like she’s always wanted. She is still fighting to belong. She’s dreamed of this. And she’s good – good enough to know exactly how much she still has to learn, which makes every mistake feel bigger than it is.
This isn’t a large kitchen with chef whites, it’s 4 or 5 workers in t-shirts and aprons managing a dozen orders.
She’s a little out of her depth but holding on, lifting a stack of dirty pots from a counter as she goes. A waiter cuts across her path – too close – and the pots go CRASH and sends the clatter of metal ringing out across the kitchen. Everyone stops.
The head chef’s voice cuts through the clatter – “Be careful!” – and then the kitchen surges back into its rhythm. It doesn’t wait.
She doesn’t look up. She breathes. And calls out. “Yes, chef!”
She quickly gathers the pans, stands – head up – and keeps going. - Salary
