This is a project for a major Bank and shines a light on a Coach's influence; both on and beyond the pitch.

In the film we see a grassroots football coach delivering a half-time script to her team but we see how her words travel far beyond the pitch and deep into the lives of those she and coaches like her have helped.

Everything here needs to feel authentic – lived in as if we found these people in a real moment of time...a sense of grit, a sense of something alive in the evening air and within that the people we put on screen are at the heart of this film.

We're looking for people who have a bit of attitude and light in them; each of them immediately relatable.

Noah - A kid pedalling his bike up a very steep hill - age 16 - must be over licensing age

A scrappy determined kid. A bit more of an introvert. Either scrawny or a little large - on the face of it he doesn’t look like he’s going to manage cycling up this steep hill. He cycles this way every week after training. It doesn’t get easier – he just gets more determined. He’s starting to believe he can make it all the way to the top.

We see our young cyclist – Noah – riding hard up a steep hill, still in his training kit. Up close the sweat and puffed cheeks says everything. Each push of the pedals feels like it gains him nothing. But he knows he can’t stop.

The voice is in his head now. And then – quietly, under his breath – his own voice says “Not when you’re tired. Not when it hurts.”

He grimaces. Pushes harder. He just. Keeps. Going.
