Traits: Warm, unhurried, easy company. A reader — the kind of man who can sit with one thing for hours and be perfectly happy doing it. Naturally, constitutionally relaxed.

Self-Tape Instructions:
Slate: Name, age, height, city, agency (if any). One sentence about yourself.

Self-Tape 1 — The Scene: Sit down at home with a book and read it for twenty seconds. Actually read it — don't perform reading. Turn a page. Take a sip of something. There's music on and a storm outside, and neither of them concerns you — this is a good evening. If something small happens naturally while you're in it — a foot moving with the music, a reaction to a line on the page — let it happen. Don't plan it. Framing: chest up, and please don't smile at the camera.

Self-Tape 2 — Range: Stay in character as this man. Somebody's just asked you about the last book you really loved, or the best day you've ever had out on the water. Answer them. Thirty seconds, no preparation needed.

Props and Wardrobe (suggestion only): A real book, a mug, comfortable clothes, glasses if you wear them.
