An '80s Folk-Horror Slasher Inspired by Shakespeare's Classic

Five recent college grads venture to a remote cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains, hoping for a final, unforgettable summer weekend. Instead, they find themselves in a nightmare awash with neon and synth beats. Their encounter with a local moonshine stirs up long-hidden secrets, and a sudden violent act stains the ancient forest with blood, unintentionally releasing a wrathful pagan deity imprisoned in the woods. Thrown into a realm where the natural order is disrupted and a terrifying entity starts a relentless pursuit, these friends must let go of their carefully crafted facades to make it through the night.

Ancient, powerful, grieving, and currently mortal. Titania is a goddess who has stepped voluntarily into a human body to protect a boy she loves like a son — and who is now navigating the terrifying smallness of a mortal frame for the first time in three thousand years. She was a fisherman's daughter on the Nile before Oberon found her. She has been a queen ever since. Tonight she is something In-Between.

Titania appears in Act II as TANYA — a striking, slightly disoriented woman in big hair and a neon windbreaker who wanders out of the woods and into Nick's hollow. The relationship between Tanya and Nick is the play's warmest thread, and the actor must hold that warmth alongside the weight of everything Titania carries.

The role ends with one of the most significant physical and emotional sacrifices in the play. She takes the mask. She doesn't flinch.
