We are casting for two short films for a rail company.

Both films deal with the issue of Level Crossing Safety and are specifically aimed at Under 16’s.

In both films we see Point-of-View content from unseen lads on their smart phones.

In one film we see a girl (Elle) showing off her new, extremely cute puppy. As the film unfolds we discover that we are actually watching a video call with her boyfriend, Jacob, through his eyes. Jacob is walking through a level crossing, absorbed in the conversation.

In the other film a group of friends are filming what feels like ordinary social content and we see two talented lads on bikes doing bunny hops, wheelies and other bike stunts on a level crossing being filmed and directed by their friend.

We are looking for a teenage boy who is a content creator.

He is filming some ordinary social content of his mates doing tricks on their bikes; bunny hops, wheelies and other bike stunts on a level crossing.
What we are seeing on screen is being seen through the eyes of our content creator. He remains unseen for the whole film - we might see his hands holding the camera.

We can hear our unseen content creator directing the action of the boys on the bikes, so immersed in their performance that he’s only doing very distracted checks that there isn’t a train coming – which means when it does, our audience gets a genuine shock, in the form of a jump scare.

They will need to be able to interact naturally with the bikers from behind the camera. All three boys are likeable, but laddish, cocky and confident, with the easy competitiveness of mates showing off for each other. We want charm and cheek rather than aggression or unlikeability.

NB: If age under 16 we are looking for suggestions who are with an LEA that can turn around the child licence applications (if required) quickly.

*Shooting in the Nottingham area so someone East Midlands / Midlands based would be beneficial.*
