Seeking four versatile actors for both on-screen roles and voice-over recordings in "Unsent Letters," a series of four short films inspired by authentic posts from the r/UnsentLetters community.
Each film intertwines an anonymous letter with a straightforward, cinematic one-shot depiction of a fictional character. While the words remain true to their original form, the visual representation of people and worlds are based on our interpretation.
On-Screen: We are looking for distinctive, compelling, and genuine faces. Actors should possess a strong screen presence and the ability to convey deep emotions through subtle expressions.
Voice-Over: We desire voices that resonate with authenticity, capturing the essence of real individuals rather than conventional voice actors. The performances should give the impression of hearing their deepest thoughts, akin to personal diary entries—intimate and vulnerable. We encourage a diverse mix of regional accents, backgrounds, and vocal textures across the four films. - Dates
- Shoots early-mid Sept. in London.

A tradesman returning home at the end of a long working day.
There should be a physicality to him that makes the vulnerability underneath more affecting - ideally not an overtly sensitive or romantic-looking character.
Over the course of the shot he simply gets undressed in his bedroom: workwear comes off piece by piece. The action becomes a visual metaphor for the emotional layer he can't remove in real life: he's fallen in love with his friend but is too frightened of destroying the friendship to say it.
There is no need to perform romantic longing. If anything, we'd like the action to feel completely habitual - someone tired from work, alone in his bedroom, going through an ordinary routine. The emotional meaning comes from the juxtaposition with the VO.
Performance: contained, natural, physically comfortable, completely unselfconscious.
Important casting consideration: Actor will undress on camera to an agreed level, potentially underwear.
Nudity required: There are two scenes that require a level of undressing. The first is character Tradesman, is undressing out of his work clothes. He will need to undress to his underwear (either just boxers or vest and boxers). The second is character A who will be in a bath for the entirety of the scene. Modesty underwear can be worn. In both scenarios it is non-sexual and the level of undressing and on-screen nudity can be determined by the actors comfortability. At no point do we have to see any actual nudity on camera. For the tradesman - we hear his character in VO discussing his romantic feelings for a friend. The undressing out of his uniform after a long day symbolises his vulnerability and openness in declaring his romantic feelings. For A we hear her voice over as she describes being in a low place with her mental health, the “cleansing” and washing herself in the bath represents her fresh start and as she encourages her friend in a similar place that they too will be ok. Production will have an intimacy coordinator on set and will offer a closed set. As well as ensuring that levels of undressing feel 100% comfortable for actors. Reiterating that no nudity needs to be visible on camera. - Salary
