Pauline/Female Puritan (Ghostwriter)

Content

Pauline: Annie’s mother, a warm and compassionate woman carrying her own grief while trying to look after those around her. She offers Clark the understanding and perspective he desperately needs when he begins to lose himself in the work.

Female Puritan: A Puritan woman who suddenly finds herself on the wrong side of Salem’s accusations. Her terror and desperation reveal how quickly the machinery of the trials can turn against anyone.

PLAY SYNOPSIS (Ghostwriter): When struggling writer Clark agrees to help longtime friend Annie finish her play about the Salem Witch Trials, the two begin a creative journey that blurs the lines between history, fiction, and their own lives. But as Clark becomes increasingly consumed by the story, he must confront secrets from the past, and discover just how much of Annie's story he is truly meant to tell.

*Pauline and the female puritan are intended to be played by the same actress.
