We are casting for several new vertical dramas for Shorties Studios all shooting before the end of December. These vertical dramas are being produced for one of the largest global platforms.

TWO LEAD ROLES and TWO SUPPORTING ROLES MUST HAVE BEGINNER - INTERMEDIATE TENNIS SKILLS . Actors will need to send a videos of them playing tennis with their self tapes.

Tennis Courting
Maggie Donovan, a hard-working kitchen worker at an prestigious country club, secretly possesses a killer tennis game. After she publicly humiliates the club's arrogant golden boy Elliott Longfellow on the court, they are forced into an uneasy mixed-doubles partnership so Elliott can impress university scouts and Maggie can win a scholarship.

Maggie (20) is beautiful, scrappy, sharp, stubborn and fiercely independent.
She works as part of the waiting staff at a prestigious country club . She serves rich people all day and then sneaks onto the courts to play tennis at night.
Maggie was once was a young rising star in tennis, she has always dreamed of going pro, playing Wimbledon and making a career out of the sport she loves.
She carries the burden of her mother's passing and her fathers problems but refuses to be intimidated by the club's privileged members. She knows she is just as good at tennis as them if not better! but having said that she does have a chip on her shoulders about her back ground and that she has to do menial jobs to get by.
She is tough and fierce but has a tender heartedness to her. She has known loss and sadness but refuses to let that hold her back from her dreams.

Actor will be needed for all shoot dates

Salary

£400 per day £200 for rehearsal - full day (if needed) £50 for wardrobe / fitting up to 2 hours £200 (if fitting and table read are on the same day up to 6 hours) Travel costs capped at £15 per day on public transport. Please provide receipts. If location is outside of London we will provide hotel and transport and per diem of £25 per day.
