We are casting talented, confident and engaging performers for a series of immersive murder mystery weekend productions.

These productions combine scripted drama, character interaction, comedy and audience participation, with performers bringing larger-than-life characters and gripping mysteries to life across a full weekend experience.

We are looking for actors who are comfortable performing to an audience, improvising, interacting in character and working as part of an ensemble. Strong characterisation, comic timing and the ability to think on your feet are particularly valued.

The productions take place in hotel and event settings, with performances taking place throughout the weekend. Actors should be confident maintaining character both during formal performances and in more informal, interactive moments with guests.

Ideal performers:

• Strong acting and characterisation skills

• Confident, outgoing and personable

• Comfortable with audience interaction and improvisation

• Good comic timing and stage presence

• Reliable, professional and able to work collaboratively

• Experience in immersive theatre, murder mystery, dinner theatre or interactive performance is welcomed but not essential

This is an exciting opportunity for performers who enjoy character-driven comedy, live theatre and creating memorable experiences for an audience.

Fee is set at £250 for the weekend. Total hours 16.

Travel, shared accomodation (2 persons to a room) & half board meals are included.

Paid rehearsal in Liverpool at NMW for 2 hours.

CAL REED – Camera Operator / Lead Tech

Cal Reed is the quiet observer of the group. A camera operator and lead technician, Cal is far more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it.

Quiet, sarcastic and highly observant, Cal has a dry sense of humour and a tendency to notice things that other people miss. While everyone else is busy performing for the cameras, Cal is watching what happens when they think nobody is looking.

Cal knows exactly how the production works and has seen considerably more than he lets on.

They're not easily impressed and rarely feel the need to explain themselves. But when Cal does speak, there's usually a reason.

Seeking: A performer with a naturally understated presence, strong dry/comedic timing and excellent observational acting. The actor should be comfortable with subtle characterisation and playing someone who can communicate a great deal without saying very much.
