Casting call for "Killjoys," a short film. Synopsis: Following a distressing incident that results in one best friend suffering a broken nose, a frightened college student believes the only way to rectify the situation is by inflicting harm on himself. This ordeal compels the two friends to explore their unconventional perceptions of masculinity and friendship.

Shoots Sept. 26 (2-10 p.m.) near downtown Fort Worth, TX. Note: There will be one to two rehearsals before filming.

Skinny, on the shorter side. Scrawny and intellectual, a guy who can turn anything into a joke, dry and sardonic, self-aware but elusive. He sees vulnerability and intimacy as something that inevitably leads to pain. Looking for someone who can make Robbie likable and funny without dipping into stereotypical “quirky guy” energy; beneath the humor is a real vulnerability. Must be comfortable with simulated injuries/prosthetic makeup, fake blood, and fake cigarettes.
