Sawyer Umney is the stable boy at Canterville Castle. Hard-working, practical and quietly mischievous, he knows the castle and its eccentric inhabitants better than most. Used to the strange happenings around the estate, very little seems to faze him — including the ghost.
He has a cheeky, likeable personality and provides a younger contrast to his mother’s more serious nature. Comfortable around the horses and grounds of the castle, Sawyer is often more interested in getting on with his work than worrying about the supernatural goings-on around him.
Accent: British West Country / Rural
Comic Style: Natural, understated comedy with good reactions.
Humour: Cheeky, dry and slightly mischievous.
Physicality: Confident physical performer; some light action-based comedy.
