Hummle is the long-suffering, dry-witted caretaker of Canterville Castle. Alongside Mrs Umney, he keeps the estate running despite its ghostly resident. He serves as a brilliant comedic foil to the eccentric ghost and the oblivious American family.
Performance Requirements
Comic Style: Excellent deadpan delivery.
Humour: Knack for understated wit.
Physicality: Great physical comedy opportunities. Light action, nothing too taxing
Presence: Warm and highly likeable character but a little creepy.
