Macbeth in the Golden Age of Piracy. The witches are sirens. Duncan's murder is a mutiny. Lady Macbeth is Ann Bonnie. Birnam wood is a fleet of ships sent to hunt down the rechristened flagship Dunsinane. Told as a pirate 'mock trial' with the use of original adaptations of sea shanties and maritime ballads.
Taking a "Shakespeare from Below" approach to examine class experience, wealth inequality, anarchy, and the corrupting influence of power. - Dates

To play female, Non-binary or gender fluid aged in their 20's-30's.
All diversity is encouraged.
Lady Macbeth - this one has a couple of possible interpretations. One is Ann Bonnie/Mary Read - a genderqueer take on the character who transitions to non-binary at 'unsex me here' - the revolutionary true believer.
The other is along similar lines but takes into account Aztec ancestry, the patlache - a recognized gender identity. Translated to "possessor of wild cacao," it typically referred to women who loved women and individuals assigned female at birth who exhibited masculine traits or took on roles traditionally associated with men.
Looking for enthusiastic ideas people who love creative problem solving, devising, improv while also having some grounding in classical text.
