Macbeth in the Golden Age of Piracy. The witches are sirens. Duncan's murder is a mutiny. Lady Macbeth is Ann Bonnie. Birnam wood is a fleet of ships sent to hunt down the rechristened flagship Dunsinane. Told as a pirate 'mock trial' with the use of original adaptations of sea shanties and maritime ballads.

Taking a "Shakespeare from Below" approach to examine class experience, wealth inequality, anarchy, and the corrupting influence of power.

We are looking for actors who are / can be based in Glasgow (or surrounding areas) for this entirety of this contract.
There is no budget for travel or accommodation.

To play a male aged in his 30's.

All diversity is encouraged.

Macbeth - hero to villain arc. Working class hero turns monster as he chooses to abuse the same powers used to oppress him. Has to feel like someone who could become a pirate hero - Jack Sparrow, Captain Flint etc, before taking an unexpected turn. From naive idealist to paranoid sadist.

Looking for enthusiastic ideas people who love creative problem solving, devising, improv while also having some grounding in classical text.

Looking to build a cast with the following attributes:

Fee: £650 for a six day week, Mon-Saturday, inclusive of travel and holiday pay.
