This is a non speaking role
Aged in her 70's / early 80's
Doris was a nurse and the calm in everyone's life. A church go-er and her son Marcus is now her primary carer. She is a private, composed woman.
Doris is tense and withdrawn. With Marcus, the agitation shows up as a wall: arms crossed, body angled away, leaning back from him, palm raised to stop him from getting any closer, a flat refusal to be soothed. Her actions are defensive and guarded. A flash of pure frustration that sends her hands reaching for the nearest object, picking it up, throwing it down. A vase. A dish on the side table. And then a moment later it has passed, and she could not tell you why.
