We are casting trained actors for the award winning, Immersion Theatre

Award-winning Immersion Theatre is proud to be bringing Sleeping Beauty to Harrow Arts Centre this Christmas, following last year’s acclaimed five-star, award-winning production of Dick Whittington. Prior to this, Immersion’s pantomimes at Harrow saw them win an Offies Award for Design, be nominated for Best Pantomime Production in 2022 and 2023, and Best Design at the UK Pantomime Awards in 2023.

We are seeking actors from London and Surrounding areas

All rehearsals will take place in London. Due to the ensemble nature of the production, all cast members are expected to attend every rehearsal.
We welcome applications from performers based outside of London; however, actors should have access to a London base or be able to commute, as accommodation will not be provided.

Carabosse is a high-energy, fast-paced pantomime villain with real presence, attitude, and bite. She blends rock-star power with vampish glamour, creating a bold, theatrical antagonist who owns the stage the moment she enters. This is not a slow, brooding villain; Carabosse is forward-driving, sharp, and unpredictable. She thrives on interaction, audience play, and breaking the fourth wall, with a wicked sense of humour and a strong instinct for comedy. She actively plays with the audience throughout, making them complicit in her schemes and enjoying every second of it.

Importantly, she must be both funny and genuinely threatening. The comedy should never dilute the danger. Carabosse can land a joke one moment and command real menace the next. She has three powerful, belting numbers that showcase her as a commanding vocal force and allow her to fully dominate the stage so a strong vocalist is required.

When balanced correctly, Carabosse should be a true audience favourite, the kind of villain people love to boo, laugh with, and secretly root for. A magnetic, scene-stealing role with huge impact potential.

This track will also appear as ensemble in the opening numbers.

Please note, all cast will be out in the audience 15 minutes before the show start time (not on 3-show days) interacting with audiences and will be required for meet and greets on select performances.

Salary

There will be a total fee of £4266.94 inclusive of holiday pay for this project. Subs – The equivalent of a zone 1-6 London travel card for rehearsals, tech, and performances
