Christian loves the little things in life. He cares deeply about his friends, drinking with his friends, smoking with his friends, and fighting with his friends. Friends are everything. Having a good time and messing about is everything.

This love of play led him to neglecting school, work, the bigger obligations, and soon enough he found himself with fewer and fewer friends as they left the town in search of bigger lives, and this all came to a head when his best friend Michael, his oldest friend, finally left him as well.

Christian simply does not understand why Michael would choose a career in the city over him.
And so he’s finally coming to see Michael in the hopes he might remind him how good their friendship was, and rekindle it.

Deep down, Christian sees Michael as Foolish.
