Performance notes:
Phil is emotionally invested and permanently frustrated. He is not aggressive, just worn down by things always going wrong. Most of his lines are half shouted in that football crowd way, like he is talking to the players, the game, or the universe. The comedy comes from sincerity and misplaced loyalty, not big reactions. The fall at the end needs to feel real and a bit humiliating, not slapstick. We should feel for him. - Salary
