Vanessa is a hardworking woman whose difficult marriage, financial struggles, and personal decisions have profoundly affected her relationship with her daughter.

Although Vanessa believes she has always acted in Rain’s best interests, her judgment, religious convictions, and inability to recognize her daughter’s emotional wounds have created years of resentment.

The actress must deliver emotionally powerful performances involving motherhood, guilt, family conflict, faith, grief, and reconciliation.

This role requires exceptional dramatic range.
