Tūtū Moana

Content

Tūtū is the aging matriarch of a Hawaiian family. She is proud, exacting, and forged by a life in which survival meant control, discipline, and unwavering self-reliance. Raised by a mother who never taught her how to give or receive tenderness, Tūtū learned to equate love with duty rather than warmth. Her greatest flaw is her refusal to live with emotional vulnerability, which has widened the distance between her and her daughter, Abby.
