Stage-ed is casting versatile performers for our 2026 Primary Schools Pantomime Tour of Cinderella, Jack & the Beanstalk and Aladdin.

These are fast-paced, highly interactive two-person pantomimes, with both actors multi-rolling throughout. We need big characters, excellent comic timing, plenty of energy and performers who work brilliantly as part of a team.

Performers on last year's tour averaged approximately £700 per week, with mileage paid on top. Accommodation is arranged and paid for where overnight stays are required.

You will be cast in one of our three productions – Aladdin, Jack & the Beanstalk or Cinderella.

Each is a fast-paced, two-person pantomime where both actors multi-role throughout, playing a variety of contrasting, larger-than-life characters.

We’re looking for a versatile performer with big character choices, strong comic timing and plenty of energy, who can switch quickly between characters, voices and physicalities and engage brilliantly with a young primary-school audience.

You don’t need to be an exceptional singer, but you must be able to hold a tune confidently.

IMPORTANT: You must be a driver with your own car available for the duration of the contract.

Rehearsals: Mid-November 2026. Each production will rehearse for 4–5 days, depending on the title.
Performances: From 30 November 2026 until schools break for Christmas.
January 2027: Additional performance dates will be available, but there is no requirement to commit to January. These will be offered to performers who would like the additional work.

Salary

Rehearsal fee: £400 for a 4-day rehearsal period / £500 for a 5-day rehearsal period. Performance fee: £125–£150 per day, depending on the requirements and nature of the tour. Travel: Mileage paid at 30p per mile. Accommodation: Where an overnight stay is required, accommodation is arranged and paid for by Stage-ed. Payment: Paid weekly, one week in arrears.
