Safe@Home is a short, mockumentary-style film campaign that delves into Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), as well as domestic abuse, highlighting the crucial role employers can play in noticing when something may be amiss beneath the surface.

The story centers around Colin, the charming CEO of Safe@Home, who confidently discusses his company's supportive workplace environment. With warmth, confidence, and a touch of self-approval, he sincerely views himself as a compassionate leader.

In parallel, one of his employees, Sara, maintains a cheerful and professional demeanor while quietly enduring domestic abuse. Subtle signs begin to surface—tardiness, private phone conversations, increased remote work, sick leave, and clothing that hides her injuries.

At first, Colin overlooks these signals, but as the film transitions from lighthearted workplace comedy to a poignant emotional revelation, he uncovers the truth about Sara’s situation.

The film serves as a call to action for employers, urging them to look beyond workplace performance, identify potential warning signs, and ask the challenging questions that might make a difference.

Colin is the charismatic CEO of Safe@Home. Friendly, confident and well-meaning, he genuinely believes he is a progressive and supportive employer. He enjoys talking about his company's culture, his approach to staff wellbeing and his own sensitivity to his employees' needs, often with a slightly self-congratulatory sense of humour. Throughout the film, Colin observes Sara's changing behaviour but initially interprets the signs incorrectly. The role moves from light, naturalistic comedy into a more serious and emotionally grounded performance as Colin realises what Sara has been experiencing. The actor needs strong comic timing and the ability to make the final emotional shift feel completely genuine.
