We are casting for a narrative short film backed by the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) Ontario Short Film Fund. The story centers on a career-focused Chinese Canadian woman who delays a long-anticipated visit to her aging mother in China. Unbeknownst to her, her mother is crafting a red apron as a final gift, and time is running out for their farewell.
Even with a limited budget, the production will be professionally executed with a committed team and a well-defined festival strategy. Applications are open to both ACTRA and non-union actors. - Dates
