Touring pantomime to schools and community venues.
Up to 12 shows per week, 6 days a week.
Cast of 3. Each team is responsible for get-ins/outs and running the tech side of the show.
Must hold and Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one.
Drivers must be aged over 21yrs for insurance purposes, with at least 1 year's driving experience.

Genie/Dame/Abanazer

We are looking for a highly versatile, confident and charismatic character actor to play three contrasting roles – Genie, Dame and Abanazer – in our touring production of Aladdin.

The performer must be able to create three clearly defined characters and switch comfortably between larger-than-life comedy, traditional pantomime Dame and the wonderfully wicked Abanazer.

Abanazer needs a performer who can be genuinely commanding and convincingly evil while still finding the comedy within the villainy. They should relish encouraging boos and hisses from the audience and be able to play with their reactions.

As the Dame, the performer must have strong comic instincts, bags of personality and the confidence to engage directly with children and adults alike.

The Genie should have energy, presence and a larger-than-life quality.

Good movement skills are required. Excellent comic timing & improvisation skills are essential; must be comfortable interacting directly with the audience.

Salary

Rate: £450 - £610 / week Self-catering accommodation provided throughout
