PRODUCTION OVERVIEW
Creative Blast Company (UK) and Palkettostage (Italy) are seeking six exceptional actor-singers for an ambitious international touring production of Othello. This exciting new adaptation combines Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy with a contemporary pop and rock soundtrack featuring internationally recognised music and dynamic ensemble storytelling.

Created for young Italian audiences studying English language and literature, the production reimagines one of Shakespeare’s most compelling stories through music, movement and contemporary performance. Performed by a cast of six versatile performers, the production demands strong acting, singing and movement skills, alongside a willingness to collaborate within a highly ensemble-driven company. This is a unique opportunity to perform internationally as part of a close-knit touring company delivering high-quality theatre to thousands of young people across Italy. Whilst an exciting and rewarding opportunity, performers should be aware that this is a demanding tour. Successful applicants will be expected to participate fully in all aspects of the production, including:
● Team get-ins and get-outs
● A maximum of two performances per day
● Six performance days per week
● Early morning starts, with some days beginning at approximately 6.00am
● Post-show audience Q&A sessions
● Extended periods living and working overseas

We are looking for performers who are energetic, adaptable, professional and collaborative, with experience of working in small-cast productions and a passion for engaging young audiences.
