We are seeking South African individuals residing in the UK, who celebrate Christmas and come from diverse ethnic backgrounds, including black, coloured, Indian, and other communities. You should have close family ties in South Africa.
Our film explores the deep connection between food and home. We want to hear about the South African dish you deeply miss—the one your family prepares to perfection, that you always crave when you visit home, or have attempted to recreate, yet it never quite matches the original.
Whether it's bobotie, melktert, koeksisters, umngqusho, breyani, or a dish uniquely special to your family, we want to know about the food that holds real significance for you.
We're looking for heartwarming, uplifting stories that highlight love, longing, humour, family, and food. Please note, we are not seeking narratives focused on hardship or tragedy. - Dates
- Shoots 5-6 Oct. in the UK.
