We are back for our fifth year onboard steam trains at heritage railways, throughout the United Kingdom!
Come and join the festive fun for a unique and immersive theatrical experience on board moving, vintage steam trains. We are seeking enthusiastic, versatile, and high-energy performers to bring Christmas magic to life for thousands of families across the UK.
Location
We are currently recruiting performers for our Great Central Railway production, departing from Ruddington Fields (NG11 6JS) in Nottinghamshire.
Local Residency Requirement: We are looking for performers who are locally based in Nottinghamshire - or who are happy to base themselves locally or within easy travel distance for the duration of the run (please note that travel and accommodation are not provided for this specific venue). - Dates

Train Times: 10.00/12.00/14.00/16.00
Train Journey: 80 minutes
Breaks: 40 minutes between journeys
Call time: 09.00

The centerpiece and magic of the journey. Father Christmas travels carriage-to-carriage meeting families, presenting each child with a special gift, and creating unforgettable, personal festive moments.
Looking for performers with gravitas, a gentle and warm presence and strong improvisational skills to engage with children and families of all ages.
Costume: Full, high-quality Father Christmas costume is provided (except boots and white shirt).
Beard & Hair: Performers with a real beard are highly desirable. However, a high-quality theatrical wig and beard set will be provided.
Grooming Note: Performers using the provided beard must be clean-shaven on performance days, as the facial hair piece is secured using professional wig tape. - Salary
- Contract Fee: £1,600 Lunch Fee: £7.50 per day Moving Train Performance: Performers must be comfortable working on moving trains with narrow aisles and in close proximity to audiences.
