On Hold is an independent psychological thriller about a housing officer whose ordinary evening takes an unexpected and unsettling turn.

It is a tense, performance-led short film exploring fear, responsibility and what happens when people feel unheard.

Filming will take place around Northampton / Northamptonshire with a small crew. The film is intended for film festival submissions

Daniel is a man in his late 30s who initially comes across as controlled, intimidating and difficult to read. Underneath that is someone carrying a lot of frustration and emotion after feeling ignored for a long time.

A large part of the performance relies on his voice, so I'm looking for someone who can create tension without shouting or overdoing it, while still being able to bring out the emotional side of the character.

Daniel does appear on camera later in the film, so this isn't a voice-only role
