We are casting young performers for a new animated project for BBC Bitesize.
We are looking for talented young actors aged approximately 9–13 to provide voices for a number of animated characters.
We are particularly interested in performers with natural, authentic Northern / North West or Scottish accents. Performers can be based in either region — we’re looking for genuine regional voices rather than a particular location.
The roles vary in personality and character, so we’re looking for confident young actors who are comfortable taking direction and can bring personality, emotion and individuality to an animated character.
We are particularly keen to hear from young performers from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds for specific roles.
Previous acting or voiceover experience is welcome but not essential. We’re interested in young performers with a strong natural personality, good vocal expression and the ability to deliver dialogue naturally.
Selected performers will be invited to submit a self-tape with specific instructions and audition material. We will contact those we are interested in seeing further with details of what we would like them to record.
Recording will take place in a professional studio during September 2026, in Manchester, with the exact date TBC.
Paid work: £300 per child, inclusive of all usage.
Please apply with a current profile and any relevant performance/voiceover experience. - Dates
