Pixie Dust Parties is seeking exceptional performers to join our expanding company of Character Performers for ongoing paid work across Bath, Bristol and the South West.

We are looking for confident, engaging actors who can create unforgettable experiences through immersive character interaction at ticketed events, festivals, children's parties, corporate events, schools, weddings and community appearances.

Successful performers will portray a variety of beloved fairy tale and fantasy-inspired characters. Strong improvisation skills, warmth, professionalism and a genuine enjoyment of working with children are essential.

We are committed to building a diverse company of performers and encourage applications from actors of all backgrounds who can authentically embody the spirit, personality and storytelling of our characters.
Dates
Ongoing ad-hoc work, from November 2026 onwards. Successful applicants will join our performer database and be offered work throughout the year. Work is offered according to performer availability, role suitability and client requirements.

Weekend availability is highly desirable, with additional weekday work during school holidays.

We're looking for performers who are warm, charismatic, and genuinely love creating magical experiences for children and families. Our ideal performers are kind, playful, emotionally expressive, and naturally engaging, with the confidence to lead interactions, think on their feet, and make every guest feel special.

Performers are expected to remain fully in character throughout each engagement, using strong improvisation, storytelling and audience interaction to deliver authentic, memorable performances.

We are looking for performers with excellent acting ability, a warm and engaging personality, and the confidence to adapt to a wide variety of live situations. Successful applicants should be able to work independently or as part of a cast, respond creatively to children and families, and embody the unique physicality, voice, and personality of each character.

Full training for every character will be provided.

Talent should demonstrate:
Strong acting and improvisation skills.
Excellent communication and audience engagement.
Confidence working with young children and family audiences.
Professionalism, punctuality and reliability.
The ability to remain in character for extended periods.
Strong movement and expressive physical storytelling.
A genuine enthusiasm for creating magical, immersive experiences.

Singing, dance or musical theatre experience is desirable but not essential.

Be willing to travel across the South West (access to a car is highly desirable but not essential)
Be available for some weekend work
Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS Check
Salary
Performers are independant, freelance contractors, and payment depends on the type and length of gigs. Minimum payment will always be £13 p/h for events (with a minimum 5 hours of work), and £27 p/h for parties. Maximum can be £90+ p/h for parties and premium events. Performers choose their own hours, and which events they do.
