Rosella doesn't think she's ugly. She thinks she's forgettable.
She's spent years watching life happen to other people. She's the friend who takes the photos rather than being in them. The one people forget to ask if she's okay. She's intelligent, funny and kind, but she's slowly become convinced that none of those things matter because they don't get you noticed.
She's exhausted by comparison.
The pill doesn't change who Rosella is. It simply removes the part of her that's spent years apologising for existing. That's why she's dangerous. Everything she does after taking the pill feels justified to her.
You're not playing someone becoming evil.
You're playing someone who finally feels seen.
The audience should root for Rosella... right up until they realise they shouldn't.
Keep everything truthful. Rosella isn't quirky or awkward for comedy. She's just trying her best.
