London Christmas Village is an immersive experience that brings to life the story of Father Christmas’s Secret Helpers. With a world-class creative team, stunning set designs, and a strong narrative-driven performance, London Christmas Village delivers a magical and unforgettable experience for families each Christmas season.

Putting families at the centre of the storyline, the 2/3 hour experience allows families to explore a nostalgic Victorian London through an enchanting world of storytelling that fuses the spectacle of a filmset with the performance of theatre.

This is an extended engagement with shift-like patterns, perfect for those who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy engaging with audiences of all ages.

We are looking for a diverse cast of approachable, fun, versatile talent with a background working with children. We strongly encourage performers of all body types and appearances, abilities, disabilities, neurodiversity, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, religions and socioeconomic backgrounds to audition.

Due to the flexible nature of the roles, we will be casting based on the energy you bring to auditions. We are looking for versatile actors with a high level of English-speaking skills, vivid storytellers and very strong improvisational skills who can embody the warm, welcoming aura of an Elf. You will have the creative space to create your own Elf characters during Induction and carry those characters throughout the Event. This is an immersive experience, so commitment to the bit is very important to us.

Salary

Hourly Pay: £17 Induction Day Rate: £102 / Viewing Day Rate: £68 / Live Day Rate: will be calculated based on hours fulfilled. Included Grotto Elf Performers receive: 30-minute paid costume & preparation time at the start of the day 30 minutes paid costume removal at the end of the day All breaks are fully paid 20% discount in London Christmas Village retail shops on selected dates The live show day spans between 8.5 hours and 12.5 hours depending on ticket sales, but active working time is carefully structured to prioritise wellbeing and performance consistency. Grotto Elf Performer live event schedule should run on a rough 2 days on, 2 days off.
