Casting call for "Grandma’s Favorite," a comedic short film.
Synopsis: Following the passing of the family matriarch, Moonie, a queer misfit, competes in a hilariously petty rivalry with her seemingly flawless cousin to win the title of Grandma’s favorite and the honor of delivering the eulogy.
This project is produced by The Phases of Moonie Productions, a New York-based company known for crafting bold, character-driven comedies that amplify underrepresented voices. Their productions include the Queerties-nominated series "MOONIE," which has been featured in 14 film festivals. Co-Founder Jess Desvarieux has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Emerging Directors by Tyler Perry Studios and as a finalist for Best Comedy Screenplay by Stage 32.
"Grandma’s Favorite" is gearing up for an international film festival tour and subsequent distribution.
