This is a moving campaign with real people & the complex emotions surrounding the issue of sight loss.

Guide Dogs is a name everybody knows, but this feels like a great chance to show the scale and depth of what the charity really does, and how it impacts people’s lives. It’s about guide dogs, of course, but also about the full range of support that helps people living with sight loss live full lives. It gives us an emotional window into their worlds, and celebrates the specialists who are there at every step of the journey.

Afi’s sighted guide. They have been training together for a long time, and we feel the strength of their bond as they laugh through the challenges they face together.

There is a wonderful chemistry between them. A private joke reveals how well they know and understand each other, giving their laughter in the middle of the race a deeper emotional and relational context.

We would love to cast the net wider for this role and find someone who is comfortable running/jogging and could realistically take on the role of a sighted guide in real life. We are looking for someone with the ability to bring both warmth and intensity, and who can motivate and encourage someone to keep going when things get difficult.

A sighted guide runner would ideally have some experience or training in this capacity.

£300 (10-hour day incl. 1 hour break) £3000 usage fee
