The Houthis are a Yemeni rebel movement that emerged from northern Yemen. Years of civil war, political betrayal, foreign intervention, bombings, economic collapse, and loss have hardened them. Some joined out of ideology, some out of revenge, some out of survival, and some because they had no other option.
They are not polished soldiers. They are unpredictable, emotionally volatile, under-trained, heavily armed men living in a constant state of war. Their danger comes from instability, desperation, and absolute belief in their cause.
