Casting Call for Unseen R&D Table Read (Unpaid).
Wednesday 29th July 2026 3.30-5.30pm
(Venue TBC - will be located in Brixton or Peckham)

Unseen is not a story about alcohol addiction. It is a story about responsibility. Every character is carrying something they should not have to carry. Daughter carries adulthood. Mother carries trauma. Bindha carries denial. P carries truth. Teacher carries institutional blindness.

Unseen asks;
What happens when resilience becomes so normal that nobody notices a child is surviving instead of living.
What if the child coping is the emergency?

My name is Marcella H. Smith. I’m an actor and screenwriter. Unseen is my new short script that is currently doing its rounds at film & screenwriting festivals. This is my first project that I’ll be filming, directing and acting in as an independent.

I’m seeking actors that will be able to bring emotional depth and truth to the characters. Experienced and Non-Experienced Actors.

Before the table read, there will be an opportunity to have 2-3 read throughs virtually where actors will have the opportunity to ask questions about their characters and the story.
