Casting Call for "On Hold."
Synopsis: In this short film, two undocumented immigrants discover a bomb in their basement with a countdown set for 365 days. Due to their precarious immigration status, they are afraid to alert the authorities and must endure the looming threat they are unable to avoid, seek help for, or fully comprehend.
Set against the backdrop of an increasingly restrictive world where countless individuals live in legal obscurity, "On Hold" explores the reality of living with an unchosen countdown—a situation that is all too literal for many people worldwide. - Dates

Early 30s, West African (preferably Ghanaian). Sharp, restless energy with natural warmth and humour. Shay has been living in the UK without a legal status for two years. A skilled young man who can fix almost anything: boilers, arguments, impossible situations except his own life. Instinctive, emotionally intelligent, and always moving forward, even when scared. Wears life on his body scarred knuckles, worn football shirts, exhaustion hidden behind quick jokes.
As an actor you must be capable of balancing comedy, tension, vulnerability, and quiet heartbreak without sentimentality. Think the emotional alertness of Daniel Kaluuya in Get Out with the offbeat humanity of Donald Glover in Atlanta. - Salary
