We are casting LA based actors for a new vertical short

Storyline: Angela, a shy yet talented high school singer, secretly leads a double life as "Echo," a renowned player in the music-fantasy game Song Slayer. In the game, she falls head over heels for her partner, "Dax." When Angela uncovers that Dax is actually Dexter—the notorious gang-involved bully at her school and linked to her tormentor Camilla—her fantasy romance clashes with her real life. Angela gives Dexter three opportunities to prove he is not really a bully, criminal, or cheater, but each test leads to betrayal.

Applicants must be based in Los Angeles or be able to work locally with reliable transportation. Each filming day is 12 hours plus a break for lunch, unless otherwise noted in the rate details or character description. Please consider this when assessing the rates.

An Intimacy and Stunt Coordinator will be present on set to prioritize performer safety and comfort. Make sure to review each role for specific physical or intimacy requirements.

Angela is the emotionally resilient heroine of the story: a poor foster kid, gifted singer, pianist, and top-ranked Song Slayer player known online as “Echo.” In the game she is confident, charismatic, and powerful, but in real life she is isolated and relentlessly bullied at school by Camilla and Dexter’s social circle. Despite her pain, Angela repeatedly chooses empathy and gives Dexter opportunities to become a better person, showing remarkable emotional maturity beneath her vulnerability. Music is the center of her identity and future, which makes the destruction of her hands especially devastating. Her arc is ultimately about reclaiming dignity, self-worth, and agency after betrayal and abuse. The character is involved in few romance scene (kissing, embracing) but nothing sexual or explicit. Talent should also be comfortable with staged action scenes involving falling, getting dragged away, and shoved/pushed. No extensive stunts. Piano and/or singing experience a plus.
