Hello! We are the executives behind "Lights Out"! A late-night sketch comedy/variety show set inside a weekly guest host’s dreams. Through digital shorts, live-to-tape sketches, animated shorts, and musical performances — all unfolding once the host turns their lights out! Lights Out aims to incorporate surrealist themes and dream-like sketches that follow into one another. Think of Mr. Show, SNL, Grant Beans, Very Short Films, Lonely Island, and Please Don’t Destroy!

This is a TMU RTA Media Production final practicum project. The roles are unpaid and non-union.

We are currently looking to find our host and cast of 6-8 sketch comedy/improv actors to play a variety of characters in the 30 minute pilot episode. Shooting will take place between September-December 2026 in TORONTO, ON — mostly done on the TMU campus and surrounding areas.

The scripts have not been finalized, as we want to mould it to the abilities of our actors. If you have any character ideas, voice impressions/impersonations, we would love to see them!
