About the role
Martin is the one person in the opening scene who takes the rules seriously, and is visibly uncomfortable when his colleagues brush them off. It is Martin who later tells MJ about the conversation before Olivia's flight. We need a grounded, credible performance — Martin should not come across as preachy, just as someone who understands his responsibilities.
