We’re casting for a series of short (15 second maximum duration), comedic social films set in a world where everyday life has been subtly overtaken by football fever. These films are connected to the World Cup and are in partnership with a well-known betting brand.
🚨 Important: Applicants MUST be aged 25 or over. We cannot legally consider any applicant below the age of 25 so please do not apply if you are not age appropriate.
These are naturalistic, relatable scenarios, office, meeting, garden and kitchen, where characters behave almost normally, but with small, absurd football-inspired instincts creeping in.
The tone is dry, observational and grounded, think The Office, The Thick of It, This Country. Performances should feel completely real and unforced, with humour coming from sincerity and commitment rather than playing for laughs.
We’re looking for natural performers who can deliver understated comedy, people who feel like real colleagues, partners, or shoppers, not “actors”. Subtle reactions, awkward timing, and lived-in authenticity are key.

We’re casting an authoritative, grounded presence to play a senior figure in an office setting.
This character plays everything completely straight. They are focused, no-nonsense, and mildly impatient, reacting to the situation around them with subtle confusion or quiet frustration, rather than overt comedy. The humour comes from their sincerity and status, not from trying to be funny.
Strong reactive skills are key. The role requires controlled, minimal performance, sharp timing, natural delivery, and the ability to land understated looks or lines in response to increasingly odd behaviour.
Think dry, observational comedy in the tone of The Office / The Thick of It. - Salary
