Steph Barton — Motorsport Engineer

Female, late 20s to early 40s (flexible).

Steph is a motorsport engineer, representing the practical, technical perspective in the film. She explains how systems work, how incidents happen, and how improvements are implemented as a result.

She should feel grounded, calm and credible — someone used to working in high-pressure environments and communicating complex ideas clearly. There’s a quiet confidence to her, with a natural, no-nonsense delivery.

Performance should be conversational and authentic rather than presenter-led. She’s not performing — she’s explaining, reflecting and drawing on real experience. Moments that reference serious incidents should carry a subtle emotional weight, without becoming overly dramatic.

We’re looking for a natural, understated performance with strong clarity of thought and delivery.
