Oldest daughter. Growing up with a single mom, Mona had to do a lot to care for the household. Her mother viewed her as another parent she can give responsibilities to rather than as a daughter. Mona took that on. She hid her innocence and protects it by being alone whenever she’s even slightly vulnerable. She never complained or was jealous of her sister’s ability to be have a real childhood. Instead, Mona worked harder (with a smile), in hopes that perhaps one day her mother would see her or say “thank you.” But her mom never did. Mona is eager yet worn. She talks in biting sarcasm even when she’s comfortable.
