The film gently explores the social expectations, biases, and microaggressions surrounding ethnic hair. Set within a single, intimate scene, it follows a mother braiding, brushing, or oiling her daughter’s hair while sharing advice about staying true to herself.

Looking for a Mother/Daughter duo to spend some time together on haircare. The mother's role has lines to deliver, so acting experience is required. The Ideal ages are 45 - 55 & 22 - 28 respectively, but open to alternatives. State ages in your application.

We would also need permission to include some authentic family photos in the video that show mother and daughter growing up.
