This short-form video campaign highlights the housing crisis facing younger generations in Scotland. The campaign features a character-led performance that centres on a warm, outspoken Scottish Gran engaging members of the public in conversation and calling on politicians to take action on social housing.

Filming will take place in Glasgow on the main high street. The campaign will focus on scripted, direct-to-camera moments and vox pops with our Gran interviewing members of the public (including younger generations) and encouraging them to speak honestly about the housing system they are inheriting.

The tone of the project is warm, playful and human. Filming will be with a small, experienced and respectful film crew, supporting our Gran role to speak naturally to camera while engaging members of the public in the streets and everyday settings.

We are casting a team of bold, charismatic Scottish Grans. Our Gran squad will deliver a short branded vox pop campaign calling for action on social housing. You will immediately read as “Gran”, feel comfortable speaking with pre-selected members of the public, and bring warmth, humour and conviction to the camera.

Our Gran squad will deliver short lines directly to camera and ask conversational questions to members of the Generation Z using a handheld microphone. We are open to professional actors or real people who can take direction and perform with confidence.

Must be comfortable performing to camera and engaging naturally with members of the public.

Salary

PACT/Equity Compliant. Fee inclusive of shoot day. Usage: Full online buyout in perpetuity(digital/social/online), travel and rehearsal (TBC depending on performer and location).
