Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Winnie Asawakanjanakit trained at the Joffrey Ballet School and the Ailey School on a full scholarship. She worked as a freelance artist in New York City. Her work included commercials, fashion campaigns and events for Vogue, Marc Jacobs, Disney, Macy’s and Sony. She has performed works by renowned choreographers such as Alvin Ailey, Crystal Pite, Bill T. Jones and Karole Armitage. Winnie was part of the Biennale College Danza 2021 and she danced with Company Wayne McGregor from 2022 to 2024.
