Usmaan Khan Profile

My name is Usmaan Khan, and I’m a British South Asian actor based in London. I recently graduated with First-Class Honours from East 15 Acting School. During my training at East 15, I had the opportunity to play a range of rich, complex roles, including Len in Edward Bond’s Saved and Peter Trofimov in Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard. I also performed a Shakespeare monologue on the Olivier Stage at the National Theatre, and wrote and starred in my own short film, The Stags, which was professionally produced after being selected from thirty-six student submissions.

My casting often leans into roles of sensitivity, vulnerability, and romance - the dreamer, the young professional, the artist - and more recently, the antagonist. I’m particularly drawn to projects that offer creative autonomy. I thrive in collaborative environments where the director, writer, and actor work closely to shape layered characters with rich inner lives, even when those inner worlds remain unseen by the audience.
