About Me
I retired from the BBC (science reporter/presenter, radio & TV) in 2018. I then entered academia & gained a PhD in 2023. While working in that field (urban history) I discovered a genuine passion for acting. I therefore began training in 2024 & started working in 2025.
I have freelanced as a voice actor & have a professional standard home studio.
I have extensive singing experience (classical mainly but also Irish folk).
My hobbies include cycling, cooking, dog walking & local history.
I have received professional voice instruction from: Barbara Houseman (acting); Jenevorah Williams (technique); Kieran McNiff & Hilary Fisher (classical song); & Niamh Parsons (Irish Folk).
