Tom Sweeney Profile

I am a confident, keen actor with plenty of comedic chops, as well as drama experience. In Cambridge, I starred in many comedy shows that were both student written, and based on existing scripts, such as a well reviewed role as George in a production of Blackadder. I am a Cambridge Footlight and also have extensive experience in improvised comedy, performing in my own two-person improv show this October.
Beyond comedy, I recently starred as Mark Rothko in a production of Red which garnered five stars from East Midlands Theatre who said "Sweeney (also an accomplished improv performer) puts in a star turn as Rothko, his pithy put-downs leaving audience members tittering uncertainly and his dark thoughts and bitterness never far from boiling over." In total, I have performed in 15 student theatre productions in Cambridge.
Additionally, I have screen experience, playing the second lead Dan in the student film Forever Blooming, and a small comedic role in the student film Golden God.
