Taijah Modeste-Adedokun Profile

I’m Taijah—an Afro-Canadian performer with a love for movement, character, and culture. I started in competitive dance and musical theatre, which led me into acting and background work. I’ve trained at the Academy of Living Arts with Jaslyn, House of Dance, and Concordia University, studying hip hop, contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap, heels, and commercial styles. My last solo fused those styles and felt like the truest version of myself. Background work taught me patience and gave me a deeper respect for filmmaking. I’m fluent in French and of Nigerian, St. Lucian, Jamaican, and Guyanese descent—bringing a vibrant, culturally rich presence to every role. I’m laid-back but focused, playful yet precise, with dry humor and quiet confidence. I’m drawn to roles like daughters, students, sisters—the funny ones in heartfelt or rom-com settings. I also model, host, and create through makeup, lash artistry, and painting. My goal is to inspire girls like me to take up space and be seen.
